CEETA College unaffected by the G20

The G20 Leaders Summit will take place in Brisbane on Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 November 2014.  Leaders from around 20 of the world’s major advanced and emerging economies will attend.

No disruption to class schedules at CEETA College

CEETA College CEO Adam Fathal has reassured students concerned about possible disruptions to their studies during the G20 that they have nothing to worry about.

Mr Fathal said “We are located well away from the CBD and G20 zone around the Southbank precinct so it will not affect us and classes will continue as normal”.

Public transport

Changes to public transport timetabling in the Brisbane CBD and South Bank should be expected. The re-routing of services and the early termination of services may cause delays and people should allow extra time for their proposed journey.

Road closures

There will be significant number of road closures leading up to, during and after the conference. Anyone planning to visit he city or Southbank during the weekend of the conference should check for road closures and parking restrictions.

Public Holiday

The Queensland Government has declared a public holiday for the Brisbane Local Government Area (LGA) on Friday 14 November 2014 to help manage impacts of the G20 around the city. The holiday is based on a person’s place of work, rather than their place of residence.
