This course is for learners who have just started learning English language and who have had minimal exposure to English. You will practice general English conversation, develop literacy and numeracy skills and get help with grammar and pronunciation.

The course will help you to develop your English communication skills for work or further studies.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

There are no specific entry requirements for this course. However, you must be over 18 years-old and are required to undertake a pre-assessment after enrolment to determine which course level you are best suited to.

COURSE DURATION

The course duration is 25 weeks (including breaks).

DELIVERY METHODS

Delivery methods include classroom based training and practical sessions involving small groups and individual activities.

ASSESSMENT METHODS

Assessment is continuous and ongoing, focusing on the learning process as well as the competency requirements of the qualification units. Assessment methods include written test, observation and projects.

PATHWAYS

After achieving the Certificate I in Spoken and Written English you may enrol in the Certificate II in Spoken and Written English.

  • Read and understand the International Student Handbook that contains the enrolment Terms and Conditions and the Refund and Privacy Policy.

  • Prepare your certified supporting documents. A certified copy of a document is a photocopy of the original that has been certified as a true copy by an authorised person. If your documents are not in English, official certified English translations are also required. All pages of submitted supporting documents must be certified. Supporting documents that need to be certified:
    • Passport – pages in which your signatures and personal details are mentioned
    • Educational certificates and academic records
    • English language test results
    • Attach the certified copies of the documents mentioned above to your Application Form and submit them to the CEETA College.
  • To submit your application:
